A lower monthly price may still be poor value if the model or tool you need is unavailable. Compare current usage limits, cancellation terms, platform support, and which provider may process a request. As one current example, OpenAI lists Pro at $100, $200, and $500 per month; Pro 500 includes the highest usage among those tiers and GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast in ChatGPT Work and Codex. OpenAI's DevDay recap says Pro 500 includes 25 times the ChatGPT Plus allowance. Ultrafast is a speed tier, not a guarantee that every task finishes at a fixed speed; usage depends on the task, model, and settings. The help center says the included Work and Codex allowance is used first, then credits may apply. Google provides a different access split for Gemini 4 Argon: the API requires a paid tier, while Gemini app and AI Mode access is for Google AI Pro or Ultra subscribers; the API's introductory token rates and later standard rates are separate from those subscriptions.
